Kundalini Yoga kriyas work on strengthening your nervous system, balancing your glandular system, purifying the body and calming the mind. The technology of Kundalini Yoga precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to to recalibrate the imprinting of addictive patterning on the brain, balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. In the process of strengthening and purifying the body/mind in this way, the path is clear for Kundalini to safely awaken and flow within a person.
Breathwork within the Kriyas strips away the layers of energy that veil our consciousness and purifies the blood and moments of stillness where we meditate and awaken to our Self are part of the Kundalini Yoga practice of personal transformation. When we are transform from the inside like this, our whole reality is shifted. Our body, mind and spirit is transformed to a higher frequency.

Mantra: Sacred chant music and mantra is a part of Kundalini Yoga. With consciousness and intention, we regulate the sounds we make to facilitate profound effects on our health and wellbeing!
Pranayam: The breath is a fundamental tool in the Kundalini Yoga practice. The breath contains oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide AND prana. Prana is the vital force which energizes the mind, body and consciousness. Learning to breathe deeply and completely is probably one of the most effective tools for developing higher consciousness and for increasing health, vitality and connection to one’s life.
Meditation: vel Meditation in Kundalini Yoga is specific, practical tools that carefully and precisely support the mind and body for healing and transformation. Kundalini Yoga meditation techniques guide the body through the use of breath, mantra, mudra and focus.
Deep Relaxation: Many of the Kundalini Yoga kriyas are followed with a rest period to allow deep relaxation. The rest period allows your body, mind and spirit to heal and rejuvenate in a state of total relaxation. Regular practice gives you extra stamina and resilience in the face of everyday stress. Kundalini Yoga works to strengthen and balance the nervous system. When your nervous system is weak, you are susceptible to unhealthy reactions to stress.
Closing Class: Kundalini Yoga classes always end with a blessing as we sing The Long Time Sun followed by Sat Nam. The meaning of Sat Nam is: Truth is Our Identity or “Truth Is My Name”
